Our history
Van Norman Molding was founded by an engineer who produced parts, molds and equipment for an electrical company. After starting up Van Norman Molding in 1934, he began specializing in custom plastic molding for a number of well-known appliance and electrical device manufacturers.

Today, Van Norman Molding, LLC, is privately held and headquartered at a 30,000 square foot facility in the Chicago suburb of Bridgeview, Illinois. It also has a manufacturing facility in Corbin, Kentucky.

This 300-ton injection molding machine is used for thermoset injection of phenolic plastics and bulk molding compounds. The machine has closed-loop process control to maintain shot-to-shot consistency and yields high-quality plastic parts.

We use 3-D design software to quote your part and modify the files, if necessary, to make your part more robust. We also use this software to design the molds we build.
